The face-to-face talks between Russian and Tajik Presidents Vladimir Putin and Emomali Rahmon are being held at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe, Avesta.Tj reported today.
The two leaders are discussing the current issues and prospects of Tajik-Russian relations in areas of mutual interest.
After the meeting, an expanded meeting of the parties' delegations will be held. Several agreements are expected to be signed following the talks.
Rahmon and Putin will make a joint statement. Afterwards, the presidents will attend the 201st Russian military base.
It should be stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin paid an official visit to Tajikistan.
