BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. A total of 21.06 million tons of cargo was transported by all modes of transport in 1Q2022, which is 11.5 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Statistical Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
About 19.67 million tons of cargo were transported by road transport by all ministries, departments, enterprises, organizations and private entrepreneurs in 1Q2022, which is 93.4 percent of the total volume of cargo transported by all modes of transport. The volume of traffic increased by 11.3 percent compared to 1Q2021.
Some 196.2 million passengers were transported in 1Q2022, which is 5.8 percent more than in 1Q2021. Land transport occupies the main place in transportation of passengers, share of which for the reporting period amounted to 99.9 percent.
Passenger turnover of all modes of transport increased by 7.1 percent in 1Q2022 compared to 1Q2021.
