BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 3. Industrial production in Tajikistan increased from January through September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Agency on Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
According to statistics, Tajikistan's industrial output in the first 9 months of this year reached 30 billion somoni ($2.9 billion), which is an increase of 18 percent over the same period in 2021.
The value of production of the mining industry from January through September 2022 amounted to 6.9 billion somoni ($678.7 million).
"During the reporting period, in the mining industry of the country, there was an increase in the production of metal ores - by 7 percent, bituminous coal and lignite - by 20.1 percent compared to the same period of last year," the Agency reports.
The volume of manufacturing production in Tajikistan in 9 months totaled 17.7 billion somoni ($1.7 billion), which is an increase of 16.6 percent over the same period in 2021.
Remarkably, during this period a total of 2,594 industrial enterprises operated throughout the country.
