BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. The National Bank of Tajikistan has extended the license of the Tajiksughurta State Unitary Enterprise providing insurance services on March 7, Trend reports with reference to the bank.
The license was extended for a period of 5 years, making the enterprise valid until November 13, 2027.
According to the bank, Tajiksughurta is one of the five main insurance companies of Tajikistan, with the larger ones being Sughurtai Avvalini Milli Company, Spitamen Insurance Company, Paymon Insurance Company, and DC Insurance Company.
Meanwhile, the insurance services in Tajikistan were provided by 16 companies in 2022, including Tajiksughurta which is the only state insurance company, and 15 private companies with 67 branches.
Tajikistan’s insurance companies concluded a total number of 2.1 million contracts in 2022, which is an increase of 7.3 percent over 2021
The assets of the insurance companies amounted to 612 million somoni ($56.3 million) as of December 31, 2022, which is 16.4 percent more than in the same period of 2021.
