Tajikistan's Buston budget revenue exceeds targets in 2023

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 9. Back in 2023, the budget revenue of Tajikistan's city of Buston was 142 million somoni ($13 million), excluding the social tax, the chairperson of Buston, Nigorakhon Gafforzoda, told journalists, Trend reports.

According to her, the figure surpassed the indicators of 2022 by 8.2 million somoni ($750,767).

The city's budget revenue plan was exceeded, reaching 106.1 percent fulfillment. The total revenue from all tax and non-tax sources also exceeded expectations, ranging from 100.3 to 125.9 percent.

During this period, over 46 million somoni ($4.211 million), equivalent to 71.8 percent of the city's total expenses, were allocated to social sectors such as education, healthcare, social welfare, culture, and sports.

Furthermore, it was noted that the city hosts 54 industrial enterprises producing over 50 types of products.
