DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, February 14. Tajikistan attracted $2.690 billion in foreign capital in 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the Ministry of Economic Development of Tajikistan indicates that, compared to 2022, the figure increased by 4.4 percent.
Additionally, Tajikistan has 85 active state investment projects, comprising 51 grant projects, 5 credit projects, and 29 projects with credit-grant co-financing, for a total sum of 49.3 billion somoni (or $4.5 billion).
Among the active projects, grant funds amount to 32.9 billion somoni ($3 billion), accounting for 67.1 percent of the total; credit funds reached 15 billion somoni ($1.3 billion), representing 29.7 percent; and the contribution from the Government of Tajikistan stands at 1.3 billion somoni ($122 million), making up 2.6 percent.
Other sources, including contributions from state enterprises of the republic, local executive bodies of state power, communities (beneficiaries), and others, amount to 62.9 million somoni ($5.7 million), or 0.1 percent.
