BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Afghanistan acquired liquefied gas during trading on May 14 at the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.

Entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased 5,000 tons of liquefied gas on the stock exchange at a price of $471 per ton. The total amount of the transaction was $2.3 million.

At the same time, on May 11, Afghan businessmen purchased liquefied natural gas in the amount of $3.4 million.

Last week, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan purchased diesel fuel and liquefied gas on the Turkmen Commodity Exchange.

Furthermore, according to the exchange, the price of Turkmen liquefied gas decreased by 9.4 percent compared to previous transactions.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
