BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. Russia and Turkmenistan are working on the development of the International North–South Transport Corridor and its full capacity, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin at the Turkmen-Russian business forum, which was held in the capital of Turkmenistan Ashgabat on January 19-20.
He noted that today the formation of international transport routes is given special importance and here the positions of Russia and Turkmenistan completely coincide.
According to him, both countries are currently working together on the development of the International North–South Transport Corridor and its access to full capacity.
Mishustin added that this will open up a wide field of business opportunities related to the construction of infrastructure, service and trade and logistics centers, and the modernization of seaports.
Panel sessions of the forum were devoted to cooperation in the field of transport and logistics, industry, education, digital technologies, and other areas of cooperation between the two countries.
