BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 28. Turkmenistan’s real gross domestic product (GDP) growth is forecasted to amount to 3.4 percent in 2023, according to the 'World Economic Situation and Prospects 2023' report published by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), Trend reports, citing the UN.
According to the information, the real GDP growth of Turkmenistan in 2024 is projected at 4.8 percent.
Meanwhile, the report's estimates, Turkmenistan's real GDP growth was 6 percent in 2022.
At the same time, the UN forecasts consumer price inflation in Turkmenistan at 6.1 percent in 2023 and 3.9 percent in 2024.
The Government of Turkmenistan approved the country's state budget for 2023 at the end of December 2022, which in terms of revenues and expenditures amounted to about 95 billion Turkmen manats ($27.36 billion), which is 11.1 percent higher than the approved state budget plan for 2022.
It is expected that in 2023 the growth rate of Turkmenistan's GDP in relative terms will reach 6.5 percent.
