ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 27. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the law on the state budget for 2024, Trend reports.

According to the paper, the country's budget expenditures and revenues were more than 102.31 billion Turkmen manat ($29.20 billion).

The Centralized Budget's expenditures and income used to support state programs and conduct public administration responsibilities totaled approximately 91.54 billion Turkmen manat ($26.13 billion).

Furthermore, the state budget for 2023 was 95.11 billion Turkmen manat ($27.15 billion), while the centralized budget was 85.37 billion Turkmen manat ($24.37 billion).

Thus, the country's state budget increased by more than 7 billion Turkmen manat (almost $2 billion), centralized - 6 billion Turkmen manat ($1.7 billion).

Within the framework of the law, it is also planned to allocate funds to Arkadag city in the amount of 211 million Turkmen manat ($60.22 million), Dashoguz region - 1.68 billion Turkmen manat ($480 million) and Lebap region - 1.08 billion Turkmen manat ($308 million).

Meanwhile, according to the document, the amounts of excess income over expenses are primarily allocated to repay debts on bank loans, to finance areas of sustainable socio-economic development, and the funds saved on all items of expenditure in the process of executing Centralized and local budgets, to other items of expenditure.
