ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 15. Turkmenistan intends to develop partnerships with international financial institutions, Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Serdar Joraev said at the B5+1 Forum in Almaty city, Trend reports.
"Turkmenistan intends to expand the use of partnerships with international financial organizations to support investments and create a business environment," he said.
He noted that for the whole of 2023, the share of the non-governmental sector of Turkmenistan's GDP, excluding the fuel and energy complex, amounted to 71.3 percent.
Meanwhile, the Business 5+1 (B5+1) Forum is an initiative funded by the US Department of State and implemented by the CIPE, an affiliate of the US Chamber of Commerce, under a more extensive program called Improving the Business Environment in Central Asia (IBECA).
The event brought together representatives of the public sector, business, and experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and the US, with the main goal of promoting trade, investment, and economic integration in Central Asia.
