TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 28. Uzbekistan's value of exported fruits and vegetables amounted to $951.3 million from January through October of 2023, Trend reports.
As per data by Uzbekistan’s State Statistics Committee, the country successfully exported a total of 1.5 million tons of fruits and vegetables, which is an increase of 2.4 percent, or 35,000 tons, compared to the same period in 2022.
The primary export destinations for these agricultural products included:
Russia - 39.9 percent ($379.5 million)
Pakistan - 16.3 percent ($155 million)
Kazakhstan - 11.3 percent ($107.4 million)
China – 9.7 percent ($92.2 million)
Meanwhile, from January to October 2023, Uzbekistan's overall foreign trade transaction exceeded $50 billion.
Exports accounted for 40.2 percent of overall international trade transaction, totaling $20.47 billion, a significant 29.1 percent rise. Meanwhile, imports accounted for 59.8 percent of total trade, totaling $30.5 billion, a 22.7 percent increase.
