BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 6. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed to consider the issues of activation of the work of the Turkic Investment Fund, Trend reports.
According to information, the President of Uzbekistan stated this in his speech at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Bishkek.
“At present, in such difficult global economic conditions, the most pressing issue is ensuring the continuity of investment processes. The demand for capital and its cost in the global financial market is increasing. Conditions for the allocation of long-term and green loans to developing countries are becoming more complicated,” the president said.
Mirziyoyev emphasized that within the framework of the OTS, the states should pay serious attention to the introduction of financial instruments.
“We deem it necessary to consider the issues of establishing the Turkic Development Bank on our initiative. It is also relevant to widely involve international financial institutions and foreign investment companies in projects of regional importance. In this regard, we propose to organize a Turkic investment forum, the first session of which we are ready to hold in Uzbekistan,” the President of Uzbekistan added.
