Nearly 70 percent of population having the voting right in Iran participated in the presidential election, Abbasali Kadkhudai, press secretary of Control Council, said.
Kadkhudai said that as compared to the 2000 presidential elections, the number of voting people in this election increased by 50 percent in Iran and 20 percent in other cities.
Kadkhudai said that the votes have not been calculated yet and any information on the results is wrong.
