Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan received Foreign Minister Manouchehr Motaki of Iran on Tuesday, Anadolu Agency reported.
The closed-door meeting at the Prime Ministry Office lasted for about an hour.
Motaki is set to hold talks with President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Wednesday.
He will also attend the 21st meeting of Turkey-Iran Joint Economic Commission as part of his visit.
