Two convicts were executed in Tehran's Evin Prison on Tuesday morning, the ILNA news agency said.
Prisoner Ali Sarem had been convicted of being associated with a terrorist group and Ali Akbar Siadat was found guilty of spying for Israeli intelligence service Mossad.
According to the Iranian news agency Irna, Siadat was arrested in 2008, when "trying to leave the country with his wife."
Tehran has repeatedly accused the Israeli secret service of interfering in its domestic affairs. Early December, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry had reported the arrest of several people on suspicion of involvement in the murder of nuclear physicist Majeed Shahriyari, claiming that the attack had been organized by Mossad.
Both prisoners had been accused of being "muharib".
Those who speak against Allah, the Prophet and the Islamic government, are known as "muharib". The articles 183-196 of the Iranian Constitution suggest exile and the death penalty towards a "muharib" or anyone who participates in an attempt to "overthrow the Islamic government".
