Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's 1977 Peugeot 504 has received a two million dollar bid after the car was put on an international auction, said Minister of Welfare and Social Security Sadeq Mahsouli on Sunday, ISNA reported.

"We have different suggestions from many countries and the last received bid was two million dollar," Mahsouli said.

The previous bid said to have been belonged to an Arab country was one million dollar.

Ahmadinejad launched a website (www.ahmadinejad-car.com) late December to invite international bids for his car.

He aimed at funding the project to build 60,000 homes for the disabled and to needy women.

The website will accept bids for a period of one month.
