OIC Secretary-General Due in Tehran

Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is scheduled to arrive in Tehran Wednesday night to meet the high-ranking Iranian officials on different regional and international issues, FNA reported.

Secretary-General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu is scheduled to arrive in Tehran Wednesday night to meet the high-ranking Iranian officials on different regional and international issues, FNA reported.
 
 Ihsanoglu is slated to hold meetings with Iranian officials, including Caretaker of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Ali Akbar Salehi, on Thursday and exchange views on the latest developments in the region and the world.

The secretary-general of the OIC has on many occasions stressed the important role Tehran plays in regional and international developments.

The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is an international organization with a permanent delegation to the United Nations, with 57 member states.

The Organization attempts to be the collective voice of the Muslim world (Ummah) and attempts to safeguard the interests and ensure the progress and well-being of Muslims.
