Sources in the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly rejected some recent Arab media reports alleging that Iranian Foreign Minister
Ali Akbar Salehi intended to visit Saudi Arabia, Fars News Agency reported.
"Foreign Minister Salehi has no plan for visiting Saudi Arabia," the source, who asked to remain anonymous, told FNA on Tuesday.
Saudi media recently alleged that the Iranian foreign minister had intended to visit Riyadh, but Saudi officials opposed the visit.
The source dismissed such reports as baseless, and said the Saudi media intend to distort Iran's image in the region.
