The U.S. and Israel are playing dangerous games with Iran, but they should know that games can be lost, ISNA quoted Iranian Parliament's Speaker Ali Larijani as saying on Thursday.

Larijani was commenting on the latest IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano's report on Iran.

"Arrogant and hostile to Iran powers think that they can crash Iranian people's resistance by creating stir and problems and a respond will not follow," he said. "But they know well that Iranian people will rebuff and a response will be 'biting'."

Larijani further said, these countries could not achieve their goals and they are looking for new ways to exert pressure on Iran.

"The situation in the region does not allow the threats posed by the West countries to Iran to get realized," he added.

The report issued by IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano on Tuesday provided indications that Iran has been developing nuclear arms, detailing a large number of nuclear-related projects and experiments, some of which might be ongoing.

The IAEA report came shortly after some Israeli media published reports saying Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak warned that a military strike on Iran was an option.
