Iranian first vice president Mohammad-Reza Rahimi suffered from infarction, Fars agency reported with reference to Iranian Finance and Economy Minister Shamsaddin Huseyni.
Huseyni said that Rahimi was to deliver speech at the conference in Tehran on Sunday. The conference was dedicated to the implementation of the second phase of the targeted subsidies project.
Rahimi did not attend the event because of heart failure.
There is no information about Rahimi's current state and the hospital where he was placed.
Mohammad-Reza Rahimi was appointed by the president in 2009.
Earlier, he worked as the president's deputy for parliamentary issues and headed the supreme audit court.
