Iran crude oil prices pass the $120 per barrel mark

The price of a barrel of Iran's crude oil averaged $122.43 a barrel by the end of last week, Shana news agency reported.

Iran's light crude oil was priced at $124.32 in Asian markets, $123.29 in the northwest European market, $121.24 in the Mediterranean market and $122.99 in South Africa's market.

Prices for Iran's heavy crude oil were up $1.98 in Asian markets ($122.83 a barrel); $3.34 in northwest Europe's market ($121.95); $3.16 in the Mediterranean market ($119.84), and $3.36 in South Africa's market ($121.64).

The price of WTI oil (West Texas Intermediate), the variety used mainly in the U.S., was $106.70, down $2.14, for April delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).
