Iran has 10,000 kilometers of railways under construction.
The projects are anywhere between 5 to 85 percent finished, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) quotes Abdol Ali Saheb Mohammadi, the head of Iran Railways as saying.
One rail corridor being worked on is the North-South project ,which will pass through the Capsian's east and west.
The Tehran-Mashhad rail line will be powered by electricity though private investments and other projects, including Tabriz-Azadshahr and Qom-Esfahan-Mashhad lines, Mr Saheb Mohammadi said.
The railway director said the Mazandaran Province's railways are old and partnership is needed to improve conditions.
