The U.S. dollar was sold at 19,560 rials on the Iranian unofficial market today.

Each Azadi gold coin was also sold at 7.37 million rials, compared to 7.38 million rials the day before, according to the Fars News Agency.
Each ounce of gold was priced at $1610.2 in international markets.

Euro and Pound were sold at 24,700 rials and 30,450 rials, compared to 24,600 rials and 30,020 rials on Monday, respectively, according to the Mehr News Agency.

Iran's central bank allowed trading in its currency at market levels after fixing the exchange rate in January as the threat of sanctions over the country's nuclear program and economic risks spurred Iranians to buy up dollars.

The bank on January 26 fixed the rate at 12,260 after the U.S. dollar surged to almost double that level in unofficial currency markets.
