Iran plans to show off a new, domestically made mine-sweeping warship at the upcoming Day of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mehr news agency reported.
A minesweeper is a small naval warship designed to counter the threat posed by naval mines.
The ship will be showcased at the military parade, which will be held in Iran on April 18 in connection with the Day of the Iranian Armed Forces.
All units of the Iranian Armed Forces, Sepah corps, land forces and military aviation will participate at the parade.
A few days ago Iran's Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi announced that country will be launching major defense projects on sea, air and in space.
Vahidi noted that the projects will be launched within first 6 months of the current Iranian year.
Previously Iran reported that a new 500-ton destroyer will be unveiled this year, as well as the country plans to launch 7 satellites into space.
