The Turkish National Assembly [Parliament] is considering drafting a law on the Criminal Responsibility of People Denying Genocide Committed to Algerian citizens, which directly concerns France's interests, Trend Special Correspondent in Ankara reports.

According to Turkish scientists, during the period of anti-colonial national liberation war in Algeria, France committed genocide in this Country and killed over 1 million civilians.

The Bill was discussed at the Turkish Parliament and may be put forward to Parliament for final approval should the French Parliament adopt a resolution on the punishment of people denying the so-called Armenian genocide'.
