( Irna ) - An earthquake with a 3.6 magnitude jolted vicinity of Alouni city in the southwestern province of
Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari on Friday.
According to the seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake was registered at 19:38 hours local time (1608 GMT).
The epicenter of the quake was in an area measuring 51.09 degrees in longitude and 31.4 degrees in latitude, the report added.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to property caused by the quake.
Iran is often hit by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
