Iran has imported 4,290 tons of oil products through its northern port of Anzali in August, Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran reported.
Comparing to the same time last year, the figure has dropped by 89 percent.
Iran imported 50,996 tons of oil products through its Caspian Sea ports in August 2015, however the figure decreased by 92 percent in August 2016 as no oil product was imported through Amirabad, Neka ports.
Over 409,801 tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at four Iranian ports in Caspian sea(Anzali, Noshahr, Astara and Amirabad), indicating a fall by 26 percent year-on-year.
In the mentioned period, 67,520 tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded at the country’s northern ports.
Iran also unloaded 342,281 tons of oil and non-oil products at its ports in The Caspian Sea over the one-month period, indicating a fall by 24.8 percent.
