Advisor of Pakistani PM: Development of trade - dream of Pakistan

Regional trade should grow between Pakistan and Iran, Advisor of the prime minister of Pakistan for Commerce, Textile, Industry, Production and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood said, IRNA reported.

According to Dawood, the development of trade with Iran, India and Afghanistan is a dream of the Pakistani government.

"Pakistan wants to develop trade in the region and for this purpose, it is preparing a five-year program to increase the export of textile products," Dawood added.

Pakistan and Iran's trade turnover has increased by 15 percent and reached $1.3 billion. Last year (Iranian year starts on March 21), Iran's exports to Pakistan increased by 16 percent in terms of value and by 5 percent in terms of volume.
