Iranian VP discloses volume of exported handicraft products

Since the beginning of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), handicraft products worth $107 million have been exported through customs bodies, Iranian Vice President and Head of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization Ali Asghar Mounesan told reporters, IRNA reported.

He added that handicraft products worth $280 million were exported through the customs bodies, while handicraft products worth $250 million were exported via suitcase trade last Iranian year.

Mounesan hopes that this Iranian year, the export of handicraft products will increase.

This economic sector is developing as a result of the flow of tourists to the country.

Last Iranian year more than 5 million tourists arrived in Iran. Since the beginning of this Iranian year, more than 3 million tourists arrived in the country.
