Iran’s Rasht-Qazvin railway will be commissioned next week, IRNA cited governor of the Gilan Province of Iran Mostafa Salari as saying.
He said that the chairman of the Iranian Plan and Budget Organization, as well as the officials of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development will attend the commissioning ceremony.
Two months later, the president will attend the official commissioning ceremony of the Rasht-Qazvin railway, he added.
Salari said that the number of tourists in Gilan province will increase after the railway is commissioned.
Iran’s trade relations with CIS countries have intensified thanks to Anzali port, Caspian port and Astara port, the governor said.
He said that export increased by 153 percent in terms of weight and by 63 percent in terms of value over seven months of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last year.
