Iran's exports via Razavi Khorasan province almost reaches one million tons

In the first three months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Iran exported 956,000 tons of goods via the customs and border markets of its Razavi Khorasan province, an official with Razavi Khorasan Customs Administration Umid Jahankhah said, Trend reports via IRNA.

The total value of the exported goods was $408 million, the customs official said.

He added that the exports of goods via the province's borders increased by 62 percent compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 20, 2019).

Main export goods of the province included saffron and apples, that were exported to Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, he said.

During the reported three months, 81,000 tons of goods worth $90 million were imported to the province, Jahankhah said.

The imports of the province decreased by 9 percent compared to the same period of the previous Iranian year, he added.

Main imported goods were cotton, raw silk and beans, he said, adding that these goods were supplied from Uzbekistan, Turkey, the UAE and China.

The Razavi Khorasan province has five customs, namely Lotfabad, Sarakhs, Bajgiran, Dogharun and Mashhad, as well as Taybad market on the boder with Afghanistan and Bajgiran market on the border with Turkmenistan.
