Iran carefully observes the Saudi Arabia's actions and movements related to the regional security, Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Islamic Republic's deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs said.

He made the remarks while commenting about the end of the Saudi-led collation's air strikes against Iran-backed Shiite rebels in Yemen.

Imposing the war against Yemeni people Saudi Arabia made a strategic mistake, Amir Abdollahian said, adding the air strikes brought no success for Saudi Arabia, but prepared a fruitful ground for activities of the extremist and terrorist groups in Yemen in the future.
The Yemen security is important for Iran and other regional countries, the Iranian diplomat emphasized, official IRIB news agency reported April 22.

Iran considers the region's security as its own security and will strongly respond to any possible move from Saudi Arabia or other country which can complicate the situation, he stressed.

Iran's widespread diplomatic efforts lad to ceasefire in Yemen and halt of the Saudi air strikes, he said, adding that Iran played an important and effective role in establishing the ceasefire.

On April 21, the Saudi Arabia-led coalition bombing Yemen ended to a military operation that pounded the Iran-allied Houthi rebels for more than three weeks.

Hours before that Abdollahian announced that the air strikes will stop in the next few hours as a result of the "made efforts".
