There is progress in the establishment of Armenian cooperation with the Customs Union (CU) and the Common Economic Space (CES), Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday following a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Eduard Nalbandian in Moscow, news.am. reported.
"We noted progress in the execution of the agreements between the heads of states (Russia and Armenia) regarding the consideration of the possibilities of Armenia's cooperation with the CU and CES. We appreciate the work of the joint Russian-Armenian commission established for this purpose, which was formed to weigh relevant issues," Lavrov said.
He also expressed his hope that a memorandum on cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Commission for Europe (ECE) and the Government of Armenia signed on April 10 will give dynamics to the process of rapprochement between Armenia and the CU.
