Addressing the PACE winter session, Georgian MP David Darchiashvili drew his colleagues' attention to the need to fulfill the Strasbourg Court's decisions.

According to him, this first and foremost concerns the deportation of migrants.

Darchiashvili submitted a report on the problem of migrant deportations.

"There are countries in the Council of Europe that deport migrants despite the court's decision on human rights. This decision prevents countries from deporting migrants who may face a threat in their own country, but this postulate is ignored," Darchiashvili said.

He said the UK and Italy are among these countries.

Darchiashvili stressed that the court's Decision No. 59 is legally obligatory for CoE member countries.

"Unfortunately, not only states but also individuals are not aware of their rights and in this regard and it is necessary to conduct more extensive work to educate them about their rights," Darchiashvili said.
