David Usupashvili elected Chairman of Georgian Parliament

Georgian Parliament approved David Usupashvili, represented by the winning parliamentary elections the opposition coalition "Georgian Dream" to the post of chairman of the supreme legislative body of the country.
For the approval of the Speaker of Parliament Usupashvili voted by secret ballot 88 members, against - 0.
Usupashvili addressed to the parliamentarians, thought of all his predecessors and thanked them for their work. However Usupashvili said that so far parliament has not emerged as a true representation of the people.
The people did not know their representatives in parliament and therefore had problems, so we should not allow the separation of the voter from his chosen people must accept and understand that this Parliament is a real personification of their interests, positions and concerns. In that case, I'm sure that after 4 years the new parliament are appreciated our work and believe that we can strengthen parliamentary power in Georgia. Lawyer David Usupashvili was born March 5, 1968. Since 2005 Usupashvili is chairman of the Republican Party.
It should be stressed that according to the CEC preliminary data, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili's "Georgian Dream" coalition will get 85 deputy mandates in the new parliament, while the former ruling party, led by Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will be represented in the legislative body by 65 MPs.
