Georgian interior minister discusses visa regime liberalization with European Commissioners

The Georgian Interior Minister Irakli Gharibashvili met European Commissioners during his official visit to Brussels.

Gharibashvili met European Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmström and European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle with the purpose of information share on visa liberalization process, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported on Monday.

The implementation of responsibilities taken by Georgia within the framework of cooperation with the EU and future plans were discussed during the meetings.

The Georgian interior minister also told his European colleagues that the international conference "The path to European integration - the role of law enforcement authorities" will be held on June 6-7.

He informed that the purpose of the conference is to share information on the implementation of the action plan on visa liberalization and the interior ministers of Eastern Partnership countries and the European Union were invited to the conference.
