Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili met with Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong within the visit to this country.

The presidential administration told Trend that the necessity of intensifying the cooperation in the economic sphere, as well as investment opportunities in Georgia were discussed.

Mikheil Saakashvili also met with Singapore's Health Minister Gan Kim Yong. The Minister shared his country's experience in the field of health care. Taking into account that Singapore's health system today is leading in the region and represents a certain hub, Mikheil Saakashvili thinks that the same reforms must be held in Georgia's health care system.

According to the President, Georgia's health sector must be further developed taking this into account.

Later, the President met with Singapore's Minister of Trade and Industry.

The sides discussed the possible visit of representatives of business circles of Singapore in Georgia and paid special attention to the need to intensify the relations between the chambers of commerce.

Moreover, the tourism development in Georgia was also discussed. It was stressed that in this direction Singapore's experience will significantly increase Georgia's tourist potential.

The sides touched upon the prospects for air communication between the countries.
