Russia dispatches full-size agroexpress to India via North-South ITC

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 3. The first full-size agro-express carrying oat flakes and cereals from Russia to India along the eastern route of the North-South ITC was sent by Russian Railways Logistics from the Yuzhnouralsky transport and logistics center, Trend reports.

"Thirty-one twenty-foot containers will transit to the station Sarakhs (Turkmenistan) on the territory of Kazakhstan, then the containers will be reloaded on the track 1435 and will follow the provinces of Iran to the port of Bandar Abbas and then by sea to the port of Mundra (India). The planned travel time is 35 days", the information says.

According to Russian experts, in the coming years, the volume of agro-industrial complex cargoes transported along this transport corridor may reach 100,000 tons per year.

To note, the North-South ITC has been developing since 2000, and 14 countries of the world take part in it.
