Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili's party, the "National Movement" will not participate at the inauguration of the newly elected president Giorgi Margvelashvili.

"After Margvelashvili's statement in regards to the voters of the "National Movement", attendance of the inauguration would be unacceptable," the party's statement said.

"Unfortunately, after the elections, the newly elected president Giorgi Margvelashvili said in his first public statement that he will not cooperate with the opposition. Hence, we reaffirm our respect to all voters and state institutions, but under these conditions, we consider it impossible to participate at the festival in honor of the inauguration," the statement said.

Tbilisi mayor Gigi Ugulava also said that he will not participate at the inauguration of the new president.

The position of President Mikheil Saakashvili is unknown yet.

The inauguration of the newly elected Georgian president Giorgi Margvelashvili will be held on Nov.17. Mikheil Saakashvili has already received invitation to the inauguration.
