Yagludzha landfill located in Georgia's Kvemo Kartli Region, hosted on Sept. 5, Georgian-Azerbaijani international exercises dubbed 'Safe Caucasus-2014.'
The exercises are aimed at improving the coordination of rescue forces' activity as part of Georgian-Azerbaijani cooperation and the two countries' memorandum on mutual aid during large-scale emergency situations, as well as activities on a joint response to oil spills on land and sea, in line with the agreement signed between British company BP and Georgian government.
Georgian Interior Ministry told Trend on Sept. 6 that the exercise involved the representatives from Georgian ministries of interior, labour, health and social affairs, Azerbaijani emergency situations ministry, and the BRIGGS (BP's contractor) and Energy Invest companies.
