Japan will use 'Georgia' instead of 'Gruzia' in its official documents.
The announcement was made during a meeting between Japan's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minoru Kiuchi and Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili who is on an official visit to Japan.
Advisor to Georgian president for foreign affairs, Tengiz Pkhaladze said that Japan's parliament will start to consider this issue at the spring session of 2015.
Touching upon Margvelashvili's visit to Japan, he said the president has already held his first meeting with Japan's state minister for foreign affairs and discussed the bilateral cooperation issues.
