Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili promised to consider Defense Minister Irakli Alasania's arguments about the innocence of the defense ministry representatives.

Georgian State Minister on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Alexi Petriashvili made this statement after a meeting with Garibashvili.

The meeting was held at the initiative of the coalition leader Irakli Garibashvili.

"The daily activity of "Georgian Dream" coalition was discussed," Petriashvili said.

"Of course, we discussed the arrest of the defense ministry representatives," he said. "The leader of "Free Democrats" Irakli Alasania submitted additional arguments. We agreed that the coalition leader will review them."

He said that the matter rests in the congress of "Free Democrats" scheduled for November 8. Garibashvili was invited there.

Senior officials of the Georgian defense ministry are preliminary accused of embezzling more than $ 2.5 million during the tenders. Alasania considers these accusations fabricated and demands to release the ministry's representatives.
