Georgian foreign trade turnover (excluding undeclared trade) from January through October 2021 amounted to $11.3 billion, which is 23 percent more than over the same period of 2020 – $9.1 billion, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).
According to Geostat, Georgian exports over the reporting period of 2021 amounted to $3.3 billion – an increase of 24.9 percent, compared to $2.7 billion in the same period of 2020.
Georgian imports amounted to $7.9 billion from January through October 2021, which is an increase of 22.3 percent, compared to $6.4 billion over the reporting period of 2020.
The negative trade balance from January through October 2021 amounted to $4.5 billion and accounted for 40.2 percent of the total foreign trade turnover, Geostat reports.
