BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 25

Georgia’s imports of petroleum and petroleum oils from January through October 2021 amounted to 1 million tons worth $651.9 million, Trend reports via National Statistics Office (Geostat).

The current index increased by 58 percent, compared to $412.4 million worth of oil imports in the same period of 2020, the report said.

TOP-5 petroleum and petroleum oils exporters to Georgia (Jan. through Oct. 2021):

Turkmenistan – $152.9 million (250,310 tons);

Azerbaijan – $113.1 million (204,179 tons);

Russia – $104.5 million (180,636 tons);

Bulgaria – $97.6 million (146,173 tons);

Romania – $91 million (150,425 tons).

Meanwhile, total Georgia’s imports from January through October 2021 amounted to $7.9 billion, which is an increase of 22.3 percent, compared to $6.4 billion over the reporting period of 2020.
