Georgia’s imports of gasoline from Turkmenistan (only RON-91 gasoline) from January through November 2021 amounted to 156,200 tons, which accounted for 29.1 percent of total gasoline imports, Trend reports via the Union of Petroleum Products Importers of Georgia.
Thus, Turkmenistan became the largest gasoline exporter to Georgia in the reporting period of 2021, the Union said.
Georgia’s imports of gasoline and diesel fuel from Turkmenistan from January through November 2021 amounted to 229,000 tons, which accounted for 22 percent of the total imports.
Turkmenistan is followed by Russia with 203,000 tons of fuel (19.5 percent), and Azerbaijan – 194,500 tons (18.7 percent).
Meanwhile, Georgia’s total imports of gasoline and diesel fuel from January through November 2021 amounted to 1.04 million tons, which is an increase of 3.7 percent, compared to the same period of 2020.
