Baku, Azerbaijan, Nov. 23
By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:
Saudi Arabia has forbade getting photographed in Muslim shrines, in particular in the Kaaba during pilgrimage, as well as at the Prophet’s mosque in Medina, the Saudi media reported.
Reportedly, shooting video on mobile phones are also prohibited in these places.
If such photographs or video are found, the police will confiscate cameras or mobile phones of the violators, say the reports.
In previous years, the Saudi authorities did not prohibit taking photos and videos of pilgrims during religious rites.
Earlier, Russian-born Israeli citizen Ben Tzion, 31, posted photos of himself visiting Iran, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, as well as the Prophet’s Mosque in Medina.
It should be reminded that representatives of other confessions are forbidden to visit Mecca and the area of Medina, where the Prophet’s Mosque is located.
