The United Nations condemned on Tuesday the attack that killed four Israelis in Hebron, West Bank, saying such incidents cannot influence Middle East peace talks to be held in Washington this week, dpa reported.
Robert Serry, the UN special envoy for the Middle East peace process, said he was shocked by the news of the killing of the Israelis.
"We condemn this murderous act and call for those responsible to be brought to justice," Serry said.
He urged "all parties not to allow the enemies of peace to affect the negotiations about to be launched (in Washington) and to progress with determination and courage on behalf of both peoples, towards a final settlement."
