Iraq opening Embassy in Kazakhistan

Kazakhistan, Astana /corr. Trend K. Konirova/ The embassy of Iraq will be opened in Kazakhistan, stated in the press-release on the web-site of the Kazakhistan's Ministry for Foreign Affairs. According to the information on the web-site, the decision of the Iraqi government was announced, during the meeting of Amrayev, the Kazakhistan's ambassador to Egypt, with Khoshiar Zebari -the Iraqi foreign minister.

The minister announced the decision to open an Iraqi embassy in Astana and stressed "The positive attitude of Kazakhistan for the re-establishment of Iraq motivated this decision". Zebari said that the establishment of the Iraqi embassy in Kazakhistan is, in the interests of both the countries, the press-release stated.

"Taking into the consideration Kazakhistan's political prestige and the key role in the Central Asia, the post soviet space and in the Asian continent as well, the Iraqi government will send its Ambassador to Astana in the near future", said Iraqi foreign minister, whose words were quoted in the press release.

In his turn Kazakhistani ambassador stressed, "Our Country considers Iraq to be an important country of the Middle East region and Asian continent as a whole; and wishes to cooperate with the Country in all the spheres". Kazakhistan diplomat expressed his hope that soon the stability will be established in the region and the establishment of Iraqi embassy in Kazakhistan will transmit an impulse to build the bilateral Kazakhistan-Iraq relations.
