Suicide bomb kills 15, wounds 28 in Baquba
(dpa) - At least 15 people were killed Tuesday and another 28 wounded when a suicide bomber detonated his vehicle in the Iraqi city of Baquba, police and eyewitnesses said.
Police sources and local witnesses told Deutsche Presse-Agnetur dpa that a suicide bomber, who was driving a vehicle, detonated himself in a checking point near the main governmental office of Baquba. The city is some 60 kilometres north of the capital Baghdad.
Police officers allowed ambulance vans to rush to the blast scene to move the wounded to the hospitals.
